BIO:

Mark Hackett came to the Eclipse Select Soccer Club for the first time in 2008. He is also entering his second season as an assistant coach for the Elmhurst College men's soccer team and is currently on the Illinois ODP Goalkeeper Coaching Staff.

Hackett came to the Chicago area after serving as an assistant coach at Adrian College for the 2006 season.

Prior to joining Adrian's coaching staff, Hackett served as the assistant women's soccer coach at Virginia Wesleyan College in 2005. He helped lead the squad to a conference championship and an NCAA Tournament berth, while working directly with an all-conference goalkeeper. The team ended the season ranked 15th in the nation.

Hackett has had success at the high school level, coaching the Kellam High School girls' soccer team to a Virginia state championship and a national ranking of fourth. Hackett was a co-head coach of Colorado State- Pueblo's men's club team in 2001, leading the team to a 9-4 mark. Prior to CSU-P, he was an assistant coach for the Goldstrikers Soccer Club team in his native area of Anchorage, Alaska, helping them to the 1999 and 2001 Alaska State Cup Championship.

As a collegiate player, Hackett was a three-year letter-winner at Virginia Wesleyan and was part of a conference championship team in 2003. The 2003 squad also earned an appearance at the NCAA Tournament.

Hackett earned his bachelor's degree in mass communications from Virginia Wesleyan. He holds an NSCAA National Goalkeeping diploma, as well as an NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
